Porterbrook has signed a 15-year lease on the Quinton Rail Technology Centre at Long Marston securing the long-term future of the 135 acre site which includes 12 miles of storage sidings, a two-mile test track loop and a short length of electrified line. HydroFLEX, the UK’s first hydrogen powered train along with the Porterbrook Innovation Hub are already well known to the Long Marston centre and this commitment will secure its future as a centre for global rail innovation and expertise.
