UK Battery Industrialisation Centre
Bringing together experts from academia and industry to deliver game-changing innovation in battery technology
Collaboration to lead the way on the transition to a low carbon economy
Coventry City Council, CWLEP, WMG at The Univeristy of Warwick supported by Innovate UK
The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre is part of the UK government’s Faraday battery challenge. The £129m project brings together academic research and government partnerships to ensure that the UK is leading the way on battery industrialisation.
“UKBIC will offer the same industrial-standard production equipment you would find in any major battery production factory around the world and is capable of running at the rates and volumes needed to tip the balance of risk and confidence in favour of new UK technology.”
Jeff Pratt, Managing Director of UKBIC
